Adolph (Butch) Collins departed this life on Saturday August 31, 2024, at age 79, at his resident.
Mother of his children, Beverly Acker. Father of Leo (Lora) Acker of Panama, FL, Adolph Jermaine Acker Jr. of Slidell LA, Chiquita Acker of Pearlington, MS, Janainita Mitchell of Picayune, MS, Antonyio (Cassie) Acker of Omaha, AR, Cornelius (Jennifer) Acker of Pearlington, MS. Preceding in death by his granddaughter Jada Acker. Adolph had eighteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Son of the late David Collins Sr. and Rosa Crawford Collins of Slidell LA. Survived by nine siblings, David (Lucille) Collins Jr., Urselle (the late Leon) Cryer, Alphonse Collins, Ernest Collins, Geraldine Collins and Joyce Collins, Arthur Collins, Ruby Collins, and Elizabeth Collins, and a host of nephews and nieces, cousins, and friends.
Adolph attended St. Tammany High School and is a native of Slidell, LA. He moved to Pearlington MS. In his early days and where he called home.
Adolph had a beautiful soul, and he met no strangers, everyone who crossed his path loved his easy-going spirit. He would give the shirt off his back to help someone. He enjoyed being with his friends and siblings to laugh about the good old times.
In his younger days, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, outdoors and lawncare. He loved to dress and would never forget his hats.
Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Services held on September 7, 2024, at New Hope Baptist Chruch-16288 Whites Road, Pearlington, MS. 39572. Visitation from 10 am to 11 am and services start at 11am. Interment will be in the New Hope BC Cemetery.
