“I Won’t Complain.” The Lord has been good to me.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in the New Palestine Cemetery. Reverend Brian K. Dees will officiate at the service, Reverend Wyman Gauldin is Pastor.

Edward Nixon was born September 10, 1952 to the late George and Maggie Nixon in Heidelberg, MS and was a lifelong resident of Picayune, MS. 

One of his greatest joys was driving his gravel truck using his handle as “Wild Magnolia.”

He was a member of East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Brian K. Dees and the late Reverend Dr. Alonzo Dees. 

On Saturday, January 4, 2024, God sent his loving angel to bring Edward Nixon home at the age of 72.

Edward was the loving and devoted husband of Loretta Steward Nixon. He leaves to cherish his love and affection for other family members and friends.
