Frederick Lee Williams
Frederick Lee Williams transitioned peacefully on December 21, 2024, surrounded by the love and support of his family and cherished ones. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Fred carried a vibrant spirit of his birthplace throughout his life. At the time of his passing he resided in Picayune, Mississippi.
Fred was preceded in death by his devoted mother, Carolyn Williams; his father, Edward Williams Jr.; and his beloved brother, James Edward Williams. Their memory remained a cornerstone of his life, inspiring the love and care he extended to those around him.
A proud graduate of Redford High School in Detroit, Michigan, Fred returned to Picayune, Mississippi and held a variety of jobs. Fred also found joy in fatherhood with the birth of his daughter Kimberly. In 1988, Fred returned to Flint, Michigan, to remain close to family. During this time, he welcomed his daughter Peaontria into the world. Later, he began a new chapter in Las Vegas, Nevada, starting a career with MGM Resorts and becoming a father to his son Lucas.
Fred found immense joy in life’s simple but profound moments; being surrounded by family along with friends while sharing laughter and celebrating togetherness. He also enjoyed playing dominoes, cards and was a devoted sports fan, cheering passionately for the Chicago Bulls and the New Orleans Saints.
Fred leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his wife, Bertina, his children: Lucas, Kimberly, and Peaontria and four additional children that he gained through his union with his spouse: Lanique (Jazz), Lucky, Anthony, and Lavonte. He is also survived by his siblings: Yolanda (Angela), Barnetta, Lashonda, Latrice, Natia (Keith), Jessie and Betty Sue (Vernon). Fred’s memory will be treasured by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, grandchildren, and other loving relatives and friends.
