The Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation at 10:00 a.m. at East Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 1124 E. Jerusalem Avenue, Picayune, MS 39466. Rev. Russell C. Davis, Pastor/Officiant and Rev. Eric Williams, Eulogist, Pastor of Stone Fellowship Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, OK. Interment will be at the New Palestine Cemetery, Picayune, MS.

Ms. Idella Potts was born February 11, 1950, in Picayune, MS to the late Walter T. Williams and Evelyn Powe Williams.

At the age of 75, Sis. Idella Potts peacefully made her transition from this earthly life to her heavenly home on February 27, 2025, at 9:37 p.m. at Slidell Memorial Hospital, Slidell, LA surrounded by family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter T. and Evelyn P. Williams; brother, Walter S. “Pone” Williams and two nephews.

Loving memories of Sis. Idella Potts will be cherished by her son, Rev. Eric Williams, Oklahoma City, OK; sisters, Doris Staten, Parsons, KS and Bernice (Daniel) Saxton, Picayune, MS; brothers, Arrealus Williams, Tulsa, OK and Calvin (Lynn) Williams, Los Angeles, CA; two granddaughters, Kyra W. (Justin) Garcia and Erin Williams Oklahoma City, OK; five nieces, two nephews, a host of many cousins and friends. Entrusted by Brown’s Funeral Home.
